Andrew Vigar - Director

Andrew has over 30 years experience in the minerals industry, from regional exploration to mining, with an emphasis on evaluation and mine work. He has held senior positions with Emperor Gold, WMC, Costain Australia and CRA (Rio Tinto) prior to commencing full-time consulting in 1996. He has consulted to a significant number of companies over a wide range of projects. Prior to establishing Mining Associates in 2003, he spent 5 years with SRK Consulting, with an emphasis on technical Due Diligence for mergers, acquisitions and capital raisings. He was a Fellow and past national council member of the AusIMM and Chairman of the International Mine Geology 2000 and 2003 conference committees. He is the Principal of the highly successful Brisbane Mining Club.
Andy Tudor - General Manager

Andy is an Exploration Manager with 25 years experience in the mineral exploration industry and the business world. He has covered all facets from regional grassroots exploration through to advanced exploration stage, resource evaluation and mine planning. He has also built and managed successful businesses outside of the minerals industry. He has a proven track record in the management of large scale exploration programs in some of the most challenging landscapes in the Asia Pacific region. He has managed total project requirements including operational and geological functions, databases, budgets, J.V. requirements, staff, external contractors and landowners negotiations. He has extensive experience in Australia and the Asia Pacific regions, working in Indonesia, PNG, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. He has project managed exploration activities in the search for Gold, Porphyry Cu-Au, Epithermal Au, IOCG, IRG and Potash.

Tony has over 30 years experience in the minerals industry, most recently with Anvil Mining Congo where he was Technical Services Manager at the Kinsevere Copper Mine, DRC. He was Technical Services Manager and Chief Geologist for Emperor Gold Mining Company at the Vatukoula Gold Mine in Fiji. He has had senior exploration roles with Buka Gold, Niugini Mining, Eltin Minerals and Oakbridge Ltd. Tony is a results focused geoscientist with senior level experience in mine geology, exploration and project management. He is a highly experienced manager with a successful track record in brownfields exploration and in establishing and operating technical services departments at underground and open pit gold and copper mines.
Ian Taylor - Manager Geology & Resource Estimation

Since graduating in 1992 Ian has predominately worked in the epithermal and mesothermal gold deposits of the Eastern Gold Fields of Western Australia. He has also worked in Narrow Vein gold, Massive Nickel Sulphide and Epithermal Silver Deposits in both underground and open pit mines. He has predominantly Senior Mining Geology experience with a focus on resource estimation. He has been responsible for resource estimation of several company resources at individual mines. Ian is up-to-date with current estimation techniques and responsibilities of the JORC Code, is an advanced Surpac user and has previous Datamine experience.

Greg has over 20 years experience ranging from exploration field work, through to financial analysis of mining/acquisition projects and corporate/administration activities. Employers have ranged from government mines departments, international consultancy firms, stockbroker operations and listed explorers and miners.
Benny Cha - Manager ASIA

Benny has over 10 years of progressive experience in various geological and management roles, including design and supervision of exploration and grade control drilling programs, geological mapping, sampling, QA/QC, ore-block interpretation and metals resource estimation. He is an expert user of Gemcom's Surpac and GEMS mine planning software, and was most recently a Managing Consultant with Gemcom Software International; where he developed and managed multiple business projects and specialised in consulting, training and high-level support for Surpac and GEMS. Previous to Gemcom, Benny has worked for Barrick Gold Corporation and Placer Dome in Western Australia's goldfields, and with IMX Resources in Australia and Tanzania on their exploration projects. Benny is a fluent Mandarin speaker and is the Manager of Mining Associates' Hong Kong office. His management experience lies with business opportunity development and project management.
Martin Recklies - Senior Geologist

Martin has several years’ experience in resource estimation and geological modeling of Epithermal Gold, Lateritic Bauxite and Proterozoic Sandstone hosted Uranium deposits. This work was done predominantly with Surpac, although he has used Isatis, Datamine, and Supervisor software programs. Martin has worked on several resource reports and is familiar with the requirements of NI-43101 and JORC reporting. He has experience logging RC and diamond drilling, magnetic surveying and QA QC audits.
Roger Wills - Senior Geologist

Since completing his honours degree specialising in regolith geochemistry as applied to gold exploration, Roger has worked as an exploration geologist in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia for several companies including Aberfoyle Resources and Great Central Mines and in North West Queensland for Mt Isa Mines; as a groundwater modeller for Aquaterra (WA); and more recently, with Mining Associates on bauxite exploration in Fiji and Cape York, and on researching and drafting resource reports (JORC and NI43-101) for projects that include uranium, gold and bauxite.
James Lally - Senior Geologist

James is an Exploration Geologist, with 14 years experience in the mineral exploration industry. He is experienced in project generation, exploration project management, GIS, data management and structural geology. Expertise includes proficiency and implementation of GIS database systems, structural geology, regional to prospect/deposit scale mapping, integration of geological and geophysical data into 2D and 3D geological models.
Jan Argarin - Financial Controller

Jan is the Business Manager at Mining Associates. She has been active in the Mining industry for the past 17 years. Jan worked with Chevron Petroluem for 10 years including 3 years in Papua New Guinea as Field Aviation Supervisor and also as Travel Coordinator and Human Resources Administrator in Brisbane and Cairns. She spent 3 years in the USA with Marriott Hotels in various Management roles before joining Mining Associates in 2003.
